MonitorEDU Proctoring Policy

When using our proctoring service test takers must adhere to our proctoring policy:

1. Photo ID:

Have a government issued ready.

2. Environment Check:

Show a view of your exam environment.
Proctor will inspect wrists, ears, glasses, and ensure any baseball cap's brim is facing backward.

3. Location:

Take the exam in a private location, not in public spaces.
Be alone in the room.

4. Seating:

Use a desk, countertop, or table. You are not permitted to take the exam in bed, on a couch/futon, or recliner.

5. Phone Placement:

Place your phone 4-6 feet away from you and your computer.
The proctor needs to see you, your workspace, and your computer screen.
Ensure your phone is plugged in and actively charging.

6. Connection:

It is your responsibility to stay connected to your proctor throughout the exam.
Communicate with your proctor before disconnecting. You must follow closeout procedures provided by your proctor.
If disconnected, reconnect through the chat box immediately.

7. Authorized Materials:

Use only materials authorized for the exam.
Show any approved materials to your proctor before starting.

8. Reading Out Loud:

Reading out loud is not permitted without an approved accommodation.

9. Behavior:

Follow all proctor instructions.
Prohibited behavior includes cheating, inappropriate language, and verbal abuse.

10. Recording:

Your session may be recorded. By using our service, you consent to this.
